uni-ball 207 Needle-Point Retractable Micro Point Gel Pens, 12 Blue Ink Pens CustomerReview

I've been using this pen brand and model for about 1 year and a half now -- blue, black & red inks. The pens are almost a permanent fixture in my nerdy breast pocket or clipped on my office ID neck loop.

I always prefer that my pen writes in fine lines without causing any mess or smudge. I like these pens most specially when I am writing short reminder notes in the teeny-weeny stickies while working on a project, while reading a book, or while reviewing a document. I am amazed at the amount of notes that one can write using these pens on those almost 1-inch-squared little piece of papers. That is, of course, if you can write in tiny scripts which is not problem at all for me while using Micro 207.

I use them for writing notes at the page margins when an idea highlight hits me and for annotations on both technical and non-technical books that I read. In my experience, even on the thinnest page, the ink does not bleed through.

The black and blue pens are excellent for writing on checks, as few as they are, now that I usually pay bills on-line.

Caveat - do not use the pen in writing your signature at the back of a credit card, unless you're willing to wait quite a few minutes for the ink to dry before you put that plastic in your wallet; otherwise, you'll be looking at a dried, smudged signature the next time you take it out to pay for a purchase. But it is not such a big deal for me. I still give it a 5-star.

I recently ran out of the red Micro 207 and was using another "fine-line" gel-ink brand, but the latter is not quite the same. I always find that my book notes are falling off the edge of the book margins or bleeding wider than the fine line it was supposed to be and the 1-inch-squared stickies are never quite enough to write short notes. I miss the fine lines of my Micro 207.

I am also on my last black pen. So it is time to make an order for both colors; but, before I make those on-line orders, I just thought it would be a good idea to write a couple of nice things about my favorite pen brand and model.

I know that I still have a few blue pens, but I cannot find my box of blue pens after my move. The "little people" in my apartment might have taken a liking to it. It's time to make an on-line order for blue, too.
